Our study on what we can learn from gorillas about human infertility has somehow found its way to the British tabloids! 😅 A super-cool collaboration with the University at Buffalo, University of Arizona and the Institute of Reproductive Genetics (Germany). Fantastic work by co-first author Neide Silva!

July 2022

EvoReproMed joined an all-star cast of co-organizers including Sally Otto (University of British Columbia, Canada), Antoine Molaro (GReD Institute, France), Mónica Bettencourt-Dias (Gulbenkian Institute, Portugal) and Harmit Malik (Fred Hutch Research Centre, USA), to put together first cross-disciplinary network dedicated to the Evolution of Reproduction. In this SMBE-sponsored event, scientists from very different fields came to the Portuguese seaside to discuss the study of germ cell function, human reproductive health and infertility from a yet-unexplored perspective.
